New Wave Surf School was established in 2007, on the North East Coast of Scotland by Donald Peace. Starting as a small mobile surf school that covered many beaches along the coast, it is now fully based in Lossiemouth, with purpose built changing rooms and board store.
New Wave now also offers paddleboarding, wellbeing events and Carver skate sessions. Donald’s kids (Hayden, Emily & Oli) were just wee when he started New Wave, but now they are grown up and help to run the surf school alongside him. All three of them have competed in comps throughout Scotland, and have loved the opportunities and community that Scottish Surfing has provided for them as youngsters. Going forward, New Wave wants to encourage as many kids as possible to find joy, connection, opportunity, and enhanced wellbeing from their surf school.
